Nowadays many people are interested in the studying abroad. France is the country with good reputation in academic world. That is why our family decided to move to France to give our six children good qualified education which will allow them in the future to have excellent opportunities in the career.
When we moved to France, there were two children in our family who were attending the primary school. We collided with some changes in the educational system and teaching approach. First surprise was the size of the classes – our children studied in the classes with 35 pupils and now they study in class with 22 pupils. The second problem was connected with the language restrictions – no one in the school spoke English.
The first day in new school was a day of discoveries for our older children. The educational system was quite simple, but in the same time very effective. The schedule of the day in school was also different. Besides, the pupils studied two additional languages - Spanish and Latin. We thought that it is quite hard to study two foreign languages in such age. But as a matter of fact such program extended the mental outlook of the children.
However, it was quite hard for children to deal with the difference of standards in education. They even had to repeat one year of education in France to improve the knowledge in main subjects.
