Ecole Centrale Paris is one of the most popular educational establishments in France. It is also considered be one of the most prestigious places where it is possible to receive the education of the high quality. It is a university-level institution and it is based on engineering. École centrale des arts et manufacture is its initial name (ECP in abbreviation). This educational institution was founded in 1829, therefore, it is considered to be one of the oldest educational institutions in France.

One more distinctive feature of the education in France is that the different research works are made not within the universities, but within the specially founded centers such as CNRS, which stands for French National Centre for Scientific Research and INSERM, which stands for National Institute of Health and Medical Research).
